Agrimonia eupatoria, commonly known as Agrimony, is a versatile plant found in ditches and embankments. It earned its name from the Greek term 'Agremone,' referring to herbs used for eye ailments, while 'eupatoria' honors Mithridates Eupator, a skilled herbalist.

Traditionally, Agrimony is linked to Jupiter in Cancer, associated with digestive health. Known for its bitter properties, it aids in treating indigestion, mild diarrhea, liver issues, and gallbladder disorders. It serves as a blood cleanser, improving digestion and skin health, and was historically used as a spring tonic. Agrimony also helps with kidney gravel and uric acid buildup, beneficial for arthritis and gout. Its anti-inflammatory and styptic properties make it useful for stopping internal bleeding and healing wounds, a practice dating back to Anglo-Saxon and French herbal medicine. Native Americans used it for fevers, while Europeans brewed it for colds and sore throats.

Magically, Agrimony is believed to have protective properties and is used in love spells, especially if gathered on St. John’s Day. In medieval Europe, it was thought to cure snake bites and induce deep sleep. Revered in Germany, it was part of the sacred 'nine herb bundle' for treating physical and metaphysical ailments.
